The Mogale Tailings Retreatment (MTR) expansion to 1,000ktpm was commissioned in December 2025. Annualised production is expected to increase to 55,000–60,000oz as expanded throughput and recovery efficiencies are realised.
The Soweto Cluster tailings storage facilities feasibility study has been completed, identifying an integrated 600ktpm circuit at MTR as the preferred development option. A Definitive Feasibility Study remains targeted for completion by June 2026.
Current parameters indicate potential production of 30,000 – 35,000oz per annum over approximately 15 years at competitive AISC levels.
Strategically, the expansion consolidates Mogale as a scalable, long-life tailings hub. For investors focused on de-risked organic growth, the sequencing is clear: capacity commissioned, feasibility validated, DFS finalised before capital commitment.
